Q:1 Do you only train gay people?

No. I train straight people, too! Women and men! I believe that you don’t have to be gay to be a ‘mo on the go. And you don’t have to be gay to have a homobody!

Q:2 What areas do you serve?

I serve the San Diego neighborhoods of North Park, Hillcrest, Mission Hills, South Park, University Heights, Normal Heights, City Heights, Kensington, College, Golden Hill, Downtown, Ocean Beach, Point Loma, and Mission Valley. If you live just outside of these areas, please send me an e-mail, and I will evaluate whether I can train there. Alternately, you can choose to meet me in a park setting, such as Morley Field in North Park, if you do not live in the areas I serve.

Q:3 How much space do I need in my home?

Not a lot. As little as 6 feet by 3 feet of floor space (and ceilings that you can't reach) is all you need. Carpet, hardwood, and tile are ok. Yards work, too. Obviously, more space is required for partner and small group workouts.

Q:4 Why don't you train in the evening or on weekends?

My clients are busy in the evening and on weekends. They've got organizations to take part in, dates to go on, shows to see, friends to visit, events to attend, and relaxing to do, among other things! They can only reliably make time for training in the morning before work. They wake up, get their workout in, shower, and start their day feeling great. Imagine how nice that is!

Q:5 Do you really have a money-back guarantee?

Yes! I guarantee that you will see and feel results and have a great time getting them. If you don't, I will refund your session fee-no questions asked. That is how confident I am that you will love training with me. Do you know any other personal trainers who make that promise?

Q:6 What is your cancellation policy?

My cancellation policy is very simple. There is a $25 fee for every missed or rescheduled session. The first cancellation is free. Whether you let me know in advance or the day of, even if you are sick or if there is a family tragedy, there is a $25 fee per missed or rescheduled session. No exceptions (sorry, mom!).

Q:7 What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash, Check, Money Order, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and Paypal.

Q:7 What are your rates?

I don't know! My program fee varies depending on what the client needs so I won't know it until I meet you in person. Please call me today (don't procrastinate) at (619) 723-5674 to set up a session in your home.

Kettlebells

Q:1 What the hell is a kettlebell?

It is a weight in the shape of a bowling ball with a handle. Kettlebells have been used in Europe for many centuries and have recently gained popularity in America. Almost anyone can use them as they are made in a range of sizes from under 10 pounds to over 100. Users never get bored with them because their shape allows for a wide variety of movements, both static and dynamic. Plus, you don't waste time because switching from one exercise to another takes virtually no time at all.

Q:2 Why do you train exclusively with kettlebells?

I want to bring people an exercise that they won't ever want to stop doing. With kettlebells, you get results because the explosive movements increase your body's metabolism for a long time after the actual workout. Plus, the movements feel good because they mimic how the body was naturally designed to move. So if you get results and your body feels good doing it, you won't want to stop!

Q:3 Will training with kettlebells hurt my back or my knees?

No. My job is to make sure that you perform the movements with proper form so as not to injure yourself in any way. Safety is my number one priority. In fact, kettlebell training is great for strengthening the back and knees to prevent injury. However, if you have a previous injury or issue with your back, neck, shoulder, knees, or any other body part, you must get evaluated by a doctor or physical therapist before working out with me.

Q:4 Can I train with kettlebells if I am over 50?

Yes, and you should! The kettlebell lifts help to keep your joints loose and young because they use a wide range of motion. Also, working with these weights will increase bone density which is a big concern after 50.

Q:5 If I get a group together, can you train us at a discount?

Maybe. Depending on the size and make-up of the group, I might just have enough kettlebells for all of you. But you will need to supply the space (or we can do it at a local park). Send me an e-mail with the details of your proposition.
